The "Infomercial Gospel" tells Sam that Christianity can make his already wonderful life even better.
The Biblical Gospel tells this guy that he is a self-centered, ugly sinner and that God will judge him for his sins. But, the Good News is that Jesus Christ died for all of his sins and is offering him forgiveness and a full pardon. He should therefore repent of his sins and believe the good news.
That's quite a difference.
I would say the term "unchurched american consumer" is used inappropriately, as many "churched' consumers act the very same way, if not worse at times.
