Someone emailed me a link to this quiz that will tell you which theologian you are. Here are my results. Is anyone surprised?
The thing I am MOST proud of is the fact that there isn't a Finnyite or Tillichian bone in my body. I scored 0% on both the Finney and Tillich scales. Praise the Lord!
Now I need to figure out where this Barth stuff is hiding so I can eradicate that too.
![]() | You scored as Martin Luther, The daddy of the Reformation. You are opposed to any Catholic ideas of works-salvation and see the scriptures as being primarily authoritative.

Apparently, I am Karl Barth (87%). Calvin and Edwards were tied at 80%.
But if the Wiki article on him is accurate, then I don't mind as much.
Of course, the other problem is that the test is too general

Not sure if this will work:
Martin Luther
100%John Calvin
87%Karl Barth
73%Jonathan Edwards
73%Anselm
60%Augustine
40%Friedrich Schleiermacher
40%Charles Finney
27%Paul Tillich
27%Jürgen Moltmann

The 27% Charles Finney was a bit of a shocker. But spending time in a Non denom Evangelical church that was heavily influenced by Finney, I guess that is not a big shocker.

I am a new reader to your site, and enjoy it very much. In fact I have told a number of friends about it. I took this little 'test' and I was a bit surprised, too, about some of the %'s. I am not too familiar with some of these guys, and I looked at Barth on Wiki. I am just curious, why do you wish to eradicate the Barth in you?
A great blog!

How sad...I'd hoped I would come out Martin Luther or John Calvin but i did not...Karl Barth was the one I came out with identifying the most. I guess I should read up on him since until now I knew nothing of him! :)
I agree with the comment that the test was too genereal though..some answers I felt I gave as best I could but did not necessarily see a position I totally agreed with. Anyhow, awesome blog, keep up the great work!
