In the EMS, there are not rules since rules assume that there is "right" way and a "wrong" way to play the game. Of course, there could not be a "winner" and "loser" since that would assume that one is better than another or that the rules were unfair. Finally, there is agreement on what positions are there in a game since that would imply a set of rules.
